Last stop in our Morrocan trip and main reason why we're here: Olivier & Morgane's wedding. We stayed a week with Benjamin's family in Dar Bouazza, a commuter town outside Casanlanca located on the sea shore. The wedding was lovely, mix of Morrocan and French traditions. We first went to the French consulat for the official part, followed by a reception at the newly weds appartment with the best morrocan food we had in our trip, cooked by friends of them. We assisted there to the henné ceremony, during which the bride (and then all the women) get a henné tatoo to bring good luck. Second day was the main event, in a villa outside Casablanca. It started with an outdoor ceremony, during which parents, bridesmaid and best mens made speeches. The newly weds entrance for the meal was made in Moroocan fashion. Both of them were carried on separate carriages by men, followed by a traditionnal music band (see photos). Morrocan food was served at the meal, along with French cheese and not to be forgotten the trou normand! We enjoyed the rest of our stay by visiting Casablanca (Hassan II mosq, one of the only 2 mosqs you can visit in Morroco) and El Jadida (small fishing harbour, located an hour South to Casablanca).
