Our first contact with Japan was with the customs officer who was quite chatty (as we were the last ones in the lane) and a bit confused with all the recent stamps we have on our passports. He let us in after a quick look in our bags and a few funny comments ("are you going swimming?" When he saw the swimming suits!). First night in a capsule hotel, which was an interesting experience full of surprises and a good foretaste of what we'll see in Japan! We were joined by Dimitri and Laure on the 2nd day, to spend 10 days with us in Japan. A lot of walking through different districts (Shibuya, Ueno, Shinjuku, Akihabara...), a lot of very tasty food and a lot of random stuff (Mario Kart race on the streets, automatic glasses cleaner machine outside opticians, ordering food through a machine at a restaurant..) We also met two friends of Benjamin from Centrale (Shavroo & Pschhh) who have been living in Japan for 6 years and are now married to Japanese girls. They helped us understand a lot of the coutumes and they kindky answered all of our questions on Japan.
